About 2 IN THE CHEST

2 IN THE CHEST turns Old West history, frontier legend, faith, and heavy groove into a theatrical sound the band calls Outlaw Southern Metal. The songs draw from stories and characters of the 1800s while the live presentation carries that world onto the stage through skull masks, period characters, smoke, lighting, and an unmistakable visual identity.

The band’s roots reach back to 2005. Velvet De Blonko joined in 2007, and by 2010 the full Old West concept had taken recognizable form. Today the band has returned to a power-trio foundation while writing its fifth record with a darker, heavier psychedelic grunge-metal edge.
